Early Intervention (EI) has been introduced to manage employees on a return to work plan before a workers compensation claim has been lodged. Similar to Rehabilitation, EI records Cases which encompasses the EI programs the injured employee is undertaking.
EI payments can be recorded against each program to for reporting purposes. In the event that an EI case does result into a Workers Compensation claim any EI payments are automatically transferred to the claim.
As most organisations limit the amount of EI their employees receive before a workers compensation claim is lodged, SafetySuite has the ability to count the amount of treatments each employee has received and trigger a notification to the required parties informing them that the limit has been reached.
Early Intervention is not a business application as it can only be implemented with the RCM functionality.
